About this stone
New Milly Gray comes from the newer quarry faces in Minya. The grey is lighter than classic Milly Gray, and the lines run straighter and more parallel. Because one slab looks much like the next, a big floor or a long corridor stays even, with no patch that stands out.
It behaves like other marble. It is softer than granite, grit wears the shine off a polished floor, and lemon or vinegar leaves dull spots. It works well on floors, bathroom walls, wall cladding, stairs and window sills. Honed or brushed is kinder on a busy floor. The lighter grey can show oil and coffee stains, so keep it sealed.
Care
Mop with water and a pH-neutral cleaner. Reseal once a year, and use mats at the entrance to catch sand.
