About this stone
Pietra Grey is a very dark grey marble, close to black, crossed by thin white veins that run in sharp diagonal lines. It gives a kitchen or bathroom a strong, modern look and pairs well with white cabinets, wood and brass.
It is dense and takes a deep polish, and it is a common choice for kitchen tops, vanities, stair treads and feature walls. Honed or leathered, it looks softer and hides fingerprints better. The caveat is that a polished dark surface shows dust, water marks and dull spots from lemon or vinegar more clearly than a light stone.
Care
Wipe with a damp microfibre cloth and a neutral stone soap. Reseal a kitchen top every year and dry water rings promptly.
