Working in Alexandria buildings

Many Alexandria buildings have narrow stairwells and small lifts, so a full slab cannot always reach the flat. We plan the cutting and joints around the way in, and we check access before delivery so the stone arrives in pieces that fit.

In newer towers in Smouha, Sidi Gaber and along the Corniche the challenge is usually the opposite: large open-plan kitchens and long runs of floor where vein matching and colour consistency across slabs matter most.

Sea air and humidity

Close to the sea, humidity and salt air are part of daily life. Sealing porous stone, choosing honed rather than polished finishes for balconies and entrances, and using granite or suitable finishes outdoors all help stone keep its looks for longer.

Villas and outdoor spaces

In Agami, Bitash, King Mariout and Borg El Arab we see more villas, gardens and terraces. For outdoor steps, pool surrounds and paving we recommend grip finishes such as flamed or bush-hammered granite, or tumbled travertine.
