About this stone
Halayeb is a granite from the Halayeb area on the Red Sea, sold in a warm mid-brown with large crystals you can clearly see by eye. It is a practical choice for kitchen countertops, stairs and window sills, where the mixed pattern hides crumbs, dust and everyday wear, and it also suits entrance floors and garden paths.
It is hard and weather-proof, takes heat and daily use, and flamed tiles give good grip in the rain. The caveat: the name Halayeb is used loosely between yards, and some sell a grey-white speckled stone close to New Halayeb under the same name, while colour also varies from block to block. See the actual slab before you order, and compare it with New Halayeb side by side.
Care
Wipe with warm water and a mild soap, and avoid acid or bleach cleaners. Reseal a kitchen countertop every one to two years.
