About this stone
A dark chocolate-brown marble broken into patches by a dense web of tan and cream veins. It feels warm and grounded, and it is a familiar choice in Egyptian homes for entrance halls, stairs and bathrooms, where it pairs well with beige walls and wood doors.
It works on floors, stair treads and risers, vanities, cladding and window sills. The busy veining hides dust and light wear well. The honest caveat is variation: the balance of dark ground to light veins changes from slab to slab, and some pieces carry natural fissures filled with resin. Like any marble, it etches with lemon and vinegar.
Care
Sweep grit off floors and stairs and mop with a pH-neutral cleaner. Reseal every year, and polish can be restored by a stone technician.
