About this stone
This is not the Spanish stone. It is a dark brown marble quarried in Asia and sold under the Emperador name for its similar colour: a deep chocolate ground with cloudy lighter patches and thin white to tan veins. The veining is sparser and straighter than the dense web of Spanish Dark Emperador, which gives a calmer surface.
It suits floors, cladding, stairs, vanities and sills. If you are matching an existing Spanish Emperador floor, compare samples side by side first, as the difference shows once installed. Like any marble, it scratches more easily than granite and etches with acids.
Care
Mop with a pH-neutral cleaner and keep sand off the surface. Reseal once a year.
