About this stone
A deep black base crossed by long, thin diagonal veins that switch between white and warm gold. On a kitchen island or a vanity the lines run the full length and make the room feel formal, especially against light wood or brass.
It is engineered quartz, about 90% crushed quartz bound with resin: non-porous, no sealing, stain resistant. Polished, it shows fingerprints and water marks. Use a trivet for hot pots, keep it out of strong direct sun, and use it indoors only.
Care
Wipe with warm water and mild dish soap, then dry with a soft cloth to avoid water marks. Avoid bleach and scouring pads, and use a trivet under hot pans.
Better avoided for
- Outdoor & facades
