About this stone
Black Pearl is darker than it is black: large crystals in charcoal and deep green, lit here and there by bronze glints that shift as you move around the counter. In a kitchen it feels warmer than a flat black and sits well with wood, cream or olive cabinets.
Like other dense granites it copes with heat and daily use, and it absorbs little. It works for countertops, stairs, vanity tops and sills. The honest caveat: the crystal pattern varies from slab to slab, and polished dark stone still shows water spots, so look at the actual slab before choosing and plan to dry the surface after cleaning.
Care
Wipe with warm water and a mild dish soap, then dry with a soft cloth to avoid spots. Skip bleach, vinegar and abrasive powders.
