About this stone
Black Wooden Vein is a deep black marble with fine, straight charcoal lines that give it the look of dark stained wood. It adds weight and contrast to a room, especially as a feature wall, a vanity or a band set into a lighter floor.
Honed, leathered or brushed, the grain shows more and the surface feels warmer; polished, it becomes glossy and dramatic. Like other dark stones, a polished finish shows dust, footprints and water marks easily, so on busy floors a honed or leathered finish is the more practical choice.
Care
Dust and wipe with a damp cloth and a neutral stone soap. Avoid acids, which leave pale dull spots on black marble.
Better avoided for
- Outdoor & facades
