About this stone
Cleopatra is one of the lightest marbles quarried in Egypt: an off-white ground with a slight cream warmth and soft grey shading instead of sharp veins. It gives a room the bright, clean feel of white marble.
It works on bathroom walls and floors, vanity tops, wall cladding, feature walls and window sills. A light stone shows everything, though. Coffee, oil, rust from metal cans and hair dye can stain it, and lemon or vinegar leaves dull patches. Seal it before use and again every year, and keep it away from kitchen countertops. Shading changes between blocks, so check your slabs side by side.
Care
Wipe with water and a pH-neutral cleaner, and never leave damp metal cans or coloured products on it. Reseal yearly.
Better avoided for
- Kitchen countertops
- Outdoor & facades
