About this stone
Imperial Danby has a white ground with fine, wispy streaks of soft gold and light grey that run in one direction. The warm veins make it feel less cold than grey-veined white marbles, and it sits well with wood, brass and cream walls.
It is a dense dolomitic marble with low water absorption, so it resists staining better than many white marbles, though acids still etch it and it can scratch. It suits kitchen countertops for homeowners who accept some patina, as well as bathroom vanities, floors, stairs and wall cladding. The gold tone varies between slabs, so match slabs for large areas.
Care
Seal it once installed and reseal as needed. Wipe acidic spills quickly and clean with a neutral stone cleaner.
