About this stone
Bianco Carrara has a light grey-white ground crossed by fine, feathery grey veins. In a home it reads calm and familiar, and it suits both modern and classic rooms, from bathroom walls to a full floor.
It is a true calcite marble: softer than granite or quartz, so it can scratch, and acids such as lemon, vinegar and tomato leave dull etch marks on a polished surface. Coffee and oil can stain if left. It is sometimes chosen for kitchen countertops, but expect the surface to mark with daily use; a honed finish hides etching better. Floors, stairs, vanities and window sills are comfortable places for it.
Care
Seal it when installed and again every year or so. Wipe spills quickly and clean with a neutral stone cleaner, never bleach or vinegar.
