About this stone
Bianco Sivec is a very white natural marble, with an even ground and only faint traces of grey or cream. In a home it gives a clean, bright surface that pairs well with any colour of cabinet, wall or fitting.
It is a dolomitic marble with a fine, tight grain, a little harder and less porous than Carrara, but it still etches with lemon or vinegar and can scratch. Because there is no veining, stains and marks show clearly, so sealing and quick wiping matter. It is a good choice for bathroom vanities and walls, floors and stairs indoors. On a kitchen countertop, plain white shows every mark.
Care
Seal it well and wipe spills at once, especially coffee, oil and rust from metal tins. Clean with a neutral stone cleaner.
Better avoided for
- Kitchen countertops
- Outdoor & facades
