About this stone
Bianco Thassos is a snow-white marble with a visible sugary crystal that catches the light. It has little or no veining, so it gives a bright, clean surface for bathrooms, walls, window sills and minimal floors.
It is a dolomitic marble, denser than many white marbles, but it still reacts to acids and can scratch. Some slabs carry faint grey spots, and iron in water or metal objects can leave rust stains, so seal it and avoid leaving damp metal on it. A polished finish becomes slippery when wet, so choose honed or brushed for bathroom floors and stairs. On a kitchen countertop every mark shows.
Care
Seal it and reseal regularly. Keep damp metal and coloured liquids off the surface, and clean with a neutral stone cleaner.
