About this stone
Nero Zimbabwe is a deep, even black with only very fine pale specks, so a kitchen counter reads as one clean dark surface. It is often picked for minimal kitchens, island tops and dining tables where the stone should frame the room rather than pattern it.
It is a very dense stone, hard and slow to absorb, and it holds a sharp polish. It works well on countertops, stairs, table tops and sills. The honest caveat: an even black shows water spots, smears and fingerprints more readily than a patterned stone, and it can look grey where it was wiped with a greasy cloth, so dry it with a clean microfibre.
Care
Wipe with warm water and a mild dish soap, then dry with a soft cloth to avoid spots. Skip bleach, vinegar and abrasive powders.
