About this stone
Unlit, Champagne is close to white with a soft grey-beige cast, faint beige clouds and small fan-shaped crystal figures. It sits between Ice White and the honey onyxes. With backlight it takes on a gentle warm glow rather than strong contrast, which keeps a room calm.
It suits backlit panels, feature walls, vanity fronts, bar fronts and reception desks. The pale surface shows coffee, oil and wet-glass marks sooner than darker onyx, and like all onyx it etches and scratches easily. Keep it away from kitchen counters, floors and outdoor walls.
Care
Clean with a pH-neutral stone soap and wipe spills, especially lemon, vinegar and juice, straight away. Reseal on a regular schedule and use coasters and mats, since onyx etches and scratches easily.
