About this stone
Golden Cream Vein is a soft cream stone cut along its natural layers, so fine tan and gold veins run across it in one general direction, like a network of thin cracks. Laid end to end on a floor it gives the room a sense of direction, and on a bathroom or living room wall, matched slab to slab, it becomes the decoration itself. The cream ground sits well with oak and brass.
It is a fairly soft marble. Grit scratches it, and lemon, vinegar and acidic cleaners leave dull spots that show more on the polished finish. Heat does not harm it. The honest caveat: matching the vein across a wall takes careful planning when the slabs are cut, and it is not a stone for busy kitchen countertops.
Care
Clean with water and a neutral cleaner and dry spills quickly. Seal after installation and repeat about once a year.
