About this stone
Galala Extra is not a different quarry. It is Galala chosen for the lightest ground and the fewest markings, so you get a soft ivory-cream with only faint hairlines. At home it works like a neutral background. Wood, fabric and lighting take the lead, and a bathroom or hallway stays bright.
It is still marble, so it scratches and etches more easily than granite or quartz. Being pale, it also shows coffee, oil and rust marks sooner than darker beiges. It suits floors, bathroom walls and vanities, and indoor stairs. Because the grade is picked by eye, ask to see the actual pieces before they are fitted.
Care
Clean with a pH-neutral stone soap and a soft cloth. Seal it well, because light colours show stains first.
