About this stone
This is the honey Miele stone cut across its layers, so the banding closes into rounded rosettes rather than running in lines. Unlit, the rosettes show as rings of cream and amber; with backlight the rings glow in steps of honey and gold.
The figure works well book-matched, where two or four panels mirror each other on a feature wall, bar front or reception desk. Matching needs slabs cut in sequence from the same block, so plan the layout before cutting. It is soft and sensitive to acids, which rules out kitchen counters, floors and outdoor use.
Care
Clean with a pH-neutral stone soap and wipe spills, especially lemon, vinegar and juice, straight away. Backlit panels are usually fitted with a glass or mesh backing as the installer advises, and the face is resealed on a regular schedule.
