About this stone
Honey Onyx has a warm amber-honey body drifting into cream clouds, with a fine frosted crystal texture visible up close and the odd hairline vein. Unlit, it reads as a rich golden stone; backlit, the amber deepens and the cream areas glow, adding warm light to a room.
It fits backlit bar fronts, reception desks, feature walls and lighting panels, and vanity fronts in warm bathrooms. Hairline veins are natural but mark weak points, so panels are usually backed for strength. It scratches and etches easily, so skip kitchen counters, floors and outdoor use.
Care
Clean with a pH-neutral stone soap and wipe spills, especially lemon, vinegar and juice, straight away. Backlit panels are usually fitted with a glass or mesh backing as the installer advises, and the face is resealed on a regular schedule.
