About this stone
Unlit, Ice White reads as a quiet milky-white stone with faint faceted clouds, close to a plain white marble at a distance. Lit from behind, light passes through it fairly evenly, so the whole panel glows instead of showing strong lines.
It suits backlit feature walls, bar and reception fronts, vanity fronts and lighting panels. Like all onyx it is soft and brittle: lemon, vinegar and acidic cleaners dull the polish, and it scratches more easily than marble. Keep it off kitchen counters, floors and outdoor walls.
Care
Clean with a pH-neutral stone soap and wipe spills, especially lemon, vinegar and juice, straight away. Backlit panels are usually fitted with a glass or mesh backing as the installer advises, and the face is resealed on a regular schedule.
