About this stone
A soft beige travertine with pale cream bands running along the stone and many small natural holes, the mark of real travertine. The colour is calm and warm, and it sits well in both classic villas and simple modern homes.
For indoor floors and walls the holes are usually filled so the surface is smooth and easy to clean. Left open with a tumbled or brushed finish, it gives a textured, less slippery surface for terraces and around a pool, and the light colour stays cooler underfoot in summer sun. Travertine is softer than granite and lemon or vinegar dulls it, so it is not a choice for kitchen countertops.
Care
Seal after installation and again every year or two. Clean with water and a neutral stone soap, and avoid acids, bleach and descaling products.
