About this stone
Rosso Orobico moves. Rust-red and orange bands sweep across the slab and curl around pools of silver grey, some holding dark feathery crystal clusters. Each slab looks like a different painting, which makes it a stone to choose by eye rather than from a small sample.
It shines where the pattern has room: a feature wall, a vanity front, a coffee or dining table top, or a book-matched panel behind a bed or sofa. Keep the rest of the room quiet around it. The bands and grey pools differ in hardness, so the polish can wear unevenly on busy surfaces, and acids will leave marks.
Care
Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and keep lemon, vinegar and strong sprays off it. Reseal about once a year, more often on a tabletop.
