About this stone
Perlato Galala has the same beige ground as Galala Classic, but with more life in it. Lighter, pearl-coloured patches drift through the stone in soft, rounded shapes, a little like clouds. On a big floor or a staircase this gentle pattern gives the room movement without feeling busy.
The pattern is also forgiving. Light scuffs, dust and small marks blend into it instead of sitting on top. It is still a soft marble, though, so acids from lemon or vinegar will etch it and oil can stain it. That makes it a good choice for floors, stairs and walls, and a poor one for a kitchen countertop.
Care
Sweep often so sand does not scratch it, and mop with a pH-neutral cleaner. Seal after fitting and reseal when water stops beading.
Better avoided for
- Kitchen countertops
- Outdoor & facades
