About this stone

Beige Dune is a sand-coloured beige marked by a slow, wavy drift rather than sharp veins, the pattern that gives it its name. Across a floor the drift can flow from one tile to the next, so it is worth laying the pieces out in order before fixing. It suits living rooms, halls, stairs and wall cladding, and can be polished, honed, brushed or sandblasted for a textured, less slippery surface.

As a marble it is moderately soft. Sand underfoot dulls the polish over time, and lemon, vinegar and acidic cleaners leave marks. Hot pans will not damage it. The honest caveat: a kitchen countertop sees too many spills and knife cuts for this stone, so a harder material serves better there.

Care

Sweep and mop with a neutral cleaner, and put mats at entrances to keep sand off the floor. Seal after installation.
