About this stone

Fior di Pesco, Italian for peach blossom, has a blush-white crystalline ground broken by a tangled network of mauve-grey and rust veins. It has the soft, faded look of a classical interior, pink without being sweet.

It suits wall cladding, bathroom vanities, table and console tops, and panels that frame a doorway or mirror, and it pairs well with dusty greens, antique brass and cream. On floors it suits quieter rooms. The dense veining means pieces vary a lot and some carry filled fissures, so choose slabs by eye, and keep acids away from the polish.

Care

Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and keep lemon, vinegar and strong sprays off it. Reseal about once a year, more often on a tabletop.
