About this stone
Rosa Sinai is a coarse-grained granite with blocky dusty-rose crystals as the main colour, mixed with grey-green quartz, cream grains and black flecks. It has no veins and no direction, so pieces look the same whichever way they are turned, which keeps cutting and matching simple.
Like other granites it is hard and stands up to foot traffic, sun and rain, so it suits stairs, outdoor steps and paving, window sills and floors. It also works for wall cladding and kitchen countertops, where it resists scratches and heat. Polished, it is slippery when wet, so choose a flamed or bush-hammered finish for outdoor steps. The rose tone is strong, so check it against your walls, tiles and fittings.
Care
Sweep grit off stairs and floors and wash with water and a neutral cleaner; avoid acidic cleaners. Seal indoor polished surfaces and reseal every one to two years.
