About this stone
Grey El Sherka is a cool grey-white granite with fine black and charcoal speckle spread evenly rather than in clusters, and no warm cast. Across a big floor or a courtyard it looks like one calm tone from a distance, which is why it is chosen for large areas.
As a hard granite it takes foot traffic, sun and rain, so it fits outdoor paving, garden edging, stairs, floors and window sills. Tumbled or flamed pieces give a textured, less slippery surface outside. It can also be used for a kitchen countertop, where it resists scratches and heat. Ask to see a real piece before you decide, as the shade of grey can vary between blocks.
Care
Sweep and wash outdoor areas with plain water; avoid acid cleaners on any finish. Seal polished indoor pieces, especially countertops.
