About this stone

A blue-grey stone made of large crystals that flash silver-blue as you walk past or the light changes, set among small dark pockets. On a kitchen countertop or vanity it gives a quiet grey by day and a soft glow under lamps, and it pairs well with white, grey and dark wood cabinets.

Technically it is larvikite rather than true granite, but it is just as hard and handles heat and daily cooking well. It suits kitchen countertops, vanities, cladding and feature walls. The honest caveat: the shimmer shows best when polished, and acids such as lemon or vinegar left sitting can dull that polish, so wipe them up quickly.

Care

Wipe with warm water and a pH-neutral cleaner. Seal once a year and clean up acidic spills quickly.
