About this stone
Azul Macauba is a Brazilian quartzite with a pale sky-blue, sugary crystal ground and flowing veins of deeper violet blue. Natural blue stone is uncommon, and this one carries its colour in the stone itself, so a vanity or wall made from it feels cool, bright and calm.
It is a quartzite, not a marble, so it is harder than marble and handles scratches and lemon juice much better, which makes it suitable for kitchen countertops, vanities, bar tops and feature walls. It is heavy and hard to cut, so it needs an experienced workshop. Slabs vary a lot in how much blue they carry, so choose the actual slab, and seal it after fitting.
Care
Wipe with warm water and mild dish soap. Seal after fitting and reseal when water starts soaking in.
